Jackson Futbol Club

JFC was first established in 1980 under the name, Northeast Jackson Soccer Organization (NEJSO).

It was the first complete club in Mississippi history, hosting teams for boys and girls U4-U19 in recreational soccer and competitive teams in U11-U19.

It has since gone on to win over 80 Mississippi Soccer State Championships and has finished runner-up more than 20 times. To date, we are the only club in Mississippi history to win a USYSA Southern Regional Championship. This was accomplished by the JFC 2000 Boys team in U19!

JFC was also named Super Clubs of North America 2000 National Club Champion. We have also helped produce more professional, college scholarship, and ODP soccer players than any other program in Mississippi. JFC players come from all over the state and region: Tupelo, the Gulf Coast, the Metro Jackson area, Corinth, Hattiesburg, and as far away as Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, and Tennessee.

We have opportunities for boys and girls who wish to participates in the top National tournaments through our affiliation with the largest youth soccer organization in the world, Rush Soccer in our competitive program. Our affiliation with Rush Soccer affords our competitive players many opportunities on the state, regional and national levels.

We also offer many opportunities for those players that just enjoy playing with there friends here at home from the youngest age of 3 years old to the adult soccer league.

With continued  hard work, purpose, passion and dedication to our youth and communities, we hope to continue to take Mississippi soccer to new heights for many years to come.

Any Saturday rainouts will be made up the next week during the day on these days (ONLY makeup games are played during the week)

Games for U12 and U14 boys and girls vary with days and some may be played during the week and some on Saturdays.

Regular practice days:
Practice times for ALL ages are determined by individual volunteer coaches. But teams should expect one practice day during the week in addition to their game day on SATURDAY. Younger teams (U4-U6) may opt to not practice during the week, and just meet early on game day to have a quick practice session prior to the game.
Player equipment needed:
All players should have a ball, shin guards and appropriate foot wear (soccer cleats). New players to JFC this spring will be provided two jerseys, black shorts and socks. These will be handed out to coaches a few days before opening jamboree. If you are a returning player from Fall 2020, you will use your current uniform. If you need us to order you a new one, please email us at [email protected] and we will add to the order for the spring.

Players born in 2013-2017(U4-U8) should have a size 3 soccer ball. Players born in 2009-2012 (U10 and U12) should have a size 4 soccer ball, and players born in 2005-2008 (U14 and U16) should have a size 5 soccer ball. These can be purchased at any local sporting goods stores.

Coaching:
Every team needs a parent(s) to volunteer to coach. There are plenty of coaching activities on our website as well to guide you. We also have current coaches who can help you learn. There are plenty of opportunities to gain experience and learn coaching activities along with your child. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
If you are new to the program and are interested in coaching, assistant coaching, managing, being an age group coordinator or volunteering in anyway, simply sign up during the registration process. Someone will be in touch with you by as registration comes to an end.  If you did not sign up during the registration process, please email us and we will add you to the coaching/volunteer master list. All coaches and volunteers must undergo a background check. JFC pays all costs associated with this process. Information on how to do the background check will be on the confirmation email you are sent when you register your player. Please make sure to take care of this ASAP.

Player Contact:
Registration closes completely on January 7, 2021. All players born in the 2011-2017 age groups should hear from a coach by January 20, 2021 if not well before. Do not be alarmed if your child is not contacted immediately after registration closes as some groups will hear from coaches before others. As our volunteer age group coordinators get information together on teams, they will pass along tocoaches. Coaches are volunteers and some coaches do take longer to contact teams then others. However, all players should be contacted by a coach by January 20, 2021 at 6:00pm. If you are not contacted by a coach by that time, please email us at [email protected] after 6:00pm.

Please remember that teams cannot be formed without parent volunteers, so if you didn't sign up to coach during registration, please consider doing so, no experience needed!
All players born in 2005-2010 (Under 12-Under 16) will not be contacted until after opening jamboree since they will not start play until February 16 or a little after. These players should expect to hear from a coach by February 6, 2020

JFC Work Party:
Please also mark your calendars for Saturday, January 23. JFC will be having work party. This will begin approximately 8:00am and is the day we need lots of volunteers to help get the fields ready for play after the summer break. If you have never lined a field, there will be plenty of people to help you learn! Not good at lining? There will be plenty of things that can be done other than lining fields. It is also a great source of community service hours for any students who may need them. Please pass this along to everyone you know and help us get geared up for the spring soccer season!

Team formation disclaimer:
On older teams (2005-2008), because of team size limitations, JFC cannot guarantee the player a spot on a team if the team is already full of  the maximum capacity of players. JFC complies with all applicable rules of the Mississippi Soccer Association regarding the registration and rostering of players.  However, if you register before January 7, there should not be any problems placing your child on a team in these age groups. If denied you will receive a full monetary refund and referral to another club to play.

Please be aware in Fall 2020, we did have to form Coed teams in the U12 and U14 age groups due to low numbers. But when scheduling games against other clubs, we try to have an equal balance of games against girls and boys teams. But our hope is to always form all girls and all boys teams, but will not be sure of this capability until after registration closes. In the U4-U10 age groups, teams are ALWAYS formed by gender and no coed teams are formed.
